On the other hand, some paddlers would argue that a board this big is mostly suitable for professional users but I know for a fact that even a beginner can handle it as long as you start at steadier currents then level up.

When it comes to thickness, this board measures 6 inches which is significant for an abundance of reasons but mainly because it’s the only thing that will keep your board floating.

You see, most inflatable SUP boards are 4 inches thick or under and that is not enough because that way the board is more perceptible to being submerged at the center under a lot of weight. Speaking of weight, the weight limit on the GT150 doesn’t go over 300 lbs. I know the websites on which this product is promoted may say it’s more than that but that’d be a far reach.

When it comes to standard body features, this iSUP comes equipped with everything you’ll need to enjoy the ride.

First, the deck of the board is decorated by D-rings and they can all be used in different ways. The 4 stainless steel D-rings that are connected by a bungee cord on the nose are great for storage and they will come in extremely handy, the D-rings on the head and end are meant to help you secure or toe the board at ease, and the 4 D-rings on each side of the deck are meant to install a kayak seat at your favorite spot.

Second feature you notice is the gripping pad which covers almost the whole deck of the board which is great for many reasons.

• The GT150 is a great performer at a great price compared to other iSUP boards within the same category and that is something to seriously consider.

Cons

• The only issue with this board is that it’ll be challenging to pump it up to 20 PSI using a hand pump every time. Therefore, my advice to you is to get yourself a little electric pump and save the day.
